View the contents of the Observatory from above or below through the shatterproof polycarbonate domes. The bottom dome lifts out for easy emptying and when not in use, the top dome locks everything in place with a long padlock. The Nature Seats with their leaf shaped HDPE plastic tops (Lily Pad, Clover Leaf, Oak Leaf and Acorn) surround the observatory encouraging children to sit and discuss or observe the contents and their findings.
Encourage children to explore and learn about the environment, helping them to create formative relationships with the natural environment using the Minibeast or Tree Hunt. These Nature GameTop tables give examples of insect species and leaves you may see around a garden or park area.
The Sensory Planter Stax unit is a great way to allow children to experience plants growing, producing fruits and flowers, and watching them change through the year. The sensory HDPE plastic add on signs will help children to understand what they are looking for in each planter: Which plants can be eaten? Which plant has soft furry leaves? Which plants make a noise in the wind? Are there really plants that smell like chocolate?
