- The Flying Amadinda has a full and rich sound which is low in pitch and very pleasing to the ear. Tuned to C major in the pentatonic scale, the bars are made of weather-resistant Ipe (wood) from sustainable sources.

- The Flying Amadinda's thirteen 20mm by 90mm bars are suspended between a sturdy frame using coated steel cable and has an overall length of 1.8m.
- Ipe is an attractive wood species from both an aesthetic and musical point of view. It provides a full, rich, textured sound. It is popular for decking and outdoor furniture because of its durability, weather resistance, and insects don't care much for it. It is naturally fire resistant (it has the same rating as concrete and steel). Ipe is typically reddish brown, however, left to nature the UV sun rays and traditional weathering will change the ipe to a nice consistent light grey. Finishes applied on an annual basis can be used to hold Ipe's original colour.
