Eye chimes are quite simply a stunning piece of musical playground equipment - in both their towering appearance and their low resonant sounds.
They will truly surprise you with their tonal depth and richness - listen to the growth of the sound, starting softly with the smallest tap the sound will grow louder with each subsequent hit of the mallet.
The horeshoe base arrangement works well for players using a wheelchair as they can access all of the chimes easily and create a resonance they can feel.

The chimes can be struck anywhere along the tube to create a very loud and powerful sound which lingers long after the fundamental sound has ceased.
You will notice how the sound changes as the tubes get longer with the longest chime producing a sound so deep you can actually feel it - making a truly multi-sensory experience! All our eye chimes are tuned to the pentatonic scale in c major. Pentatonic is a scale of five notes which allows players to create and invent harmonious sounds without struggling with 'wrong' notes or dissonant chords.
The chimes can be bought individually, however for maximum sound effect the chimes should be kept together to enable the player to experience a ‘surround sound' effect.
Eye chimes are supplied with two durable mallets, made to withstand the outdoor elements of the British weather, that are attached to the instrument with coated steel cables.

The seven chimes are made of 100mm diameter heavy-duty aluminium tube and range in Height from 1.4m to 2.7m.
Depending on how much space you have available, the Eye Chimes can be installed directly into the ground or supplied with a timber base.
This outdoor musical instrument has been inspected by The Play Inspection Company who have confirmed its compliance with EN1176, the European Standard for Playground Equipment.
