General Warranty

Classification of material in relation to years of warranty:

10 YEARS

  • Against failure due to production defects or decomposition on Wood components that are pressure treated with Tanalith-E (Chromium and Arsenic free) to EN351-1 and not in direct contact with the ground (relates to structural failure due to rot, fungal attack and insect infestation).
  • Against failure due to material or production defects on all galvanised and other non-painted steel, Stainless steel, aluminium and metal components.

5 YEARS

  • Against failure due to production defects or decomposition on Wood components that are pressure treated with Tanalith-E (Chromium and Arsenic free) to EN351-1 and that are in direct contact with the ground (relates to structural failure due to rot, fungal attack and insect infestation).
  • Against failure due to material or production defects on Painted metal components.
  • Against failure due to material or production defects on Painted or coated plywood (engineered timber).
  • Against failure due to material or production defects on plastic components (made from Solid materials). Panels are UV stabilized; nevertheless some colour fading will occur over time.
  • Against failure due to material or production defects on Hot-dip galvanised metal components (e.g. chains).

1 YEAR

  • Against failure due to material or production defects on wood components which are painted or varnished.
  • Against failure due to material or production defects on Electro galvanised metal components.
  • Against failure due to material or production defects on rubber, rubber-coated and polyurethane components.
  • Against failure due to material or production defects on moving components (malfunction).
  • Against failure due to material or production defects on Injection-moulded plastic components.

If, during the period of twelve months from the date of delivery or installation (where installation is carried out by the Schoolscapes Installation Teams), Schoolscapes is notified of a fault in the Product which is due to faulty design, manufacturing or materials, Schoolscapes will replace or (at its discretion) repair the faulty part free of charge on an ex-works basis provided that:

  1. The warranty coverage is not effective if products have not been
    properly stored;
    modified;  
    installed by a Schoolscapes Installation Team or in strict accordance with the instructions provided by Schoolscapes;
    maintained correctly according to the General Maintenance Instructions for Playground Equipment (download available in our Resources section).
  2. If the Goods have been manufactured to the Customer's design, the fault is not due to faulty design by Schoolscapes and is not covered by warranty.
  3. Warranty coverage of damaged parts or components:
    If the fault is not due to accidental or wilful damage; interference with or maintenance of the Goods by persons other than Schoolscapes or it’s duly appointed agents, Schoolscapes will replace the part.
  4. No coverage for normal wear and tear, misuse or vandalism.
    The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, surface corrosion on metal parts, discoloured surfaces and other cosmetic issues or failures due to misuse or vandalism. The Customer will be required to return any faulty Goods to the Company for exchange or repair  at the Customers own cost, the Company will not be liable for any labour installation charges involved with the removal and subsequent re-installation of any such parts.
