Statement of Warranty and Guarantee

Schoolscapes warrants and guarantees its products as follows:

20 yrs          Machine Finished Structural Timber (laminated)
                          20 year guarantee against structural failure due to rot or insect attack

10 yrs          Machine Finished Timber (Quarter-Sawn) 
                         10 year guarantee against structural failure due to rot or insect attack

10 yrs          High Density Plastic (HDPE) Components 
                        10 year guarantee against structural failure due to delamination

25 yrs         Steel Components (Hot-dip Galvanised) 
                        25 year guarantee against structural failure due to corrosion

5 yrs              ‘Wet-Pour’ Rubber Safer Surfacing
                          5 year guarantee against faulty workmanship or materials

2 yrs              Consumable Components:
                  Steel re-inforced ropes, Springs, Swing components etc. 
                         2 year guarantee against material failure 

This guarantee excludes accidental damage, fair ‘wear and tear’ and vandalism. 

In addition to this guarantee and warranty you also have the reassurance that Schoolscapes has a 15 year history of producing playground equipment. All components and materials are carefully selected to provide a service life well in excess of the guarantee period. This performance is backed by our materials suppliers own guarantees. If, during the period of twelve months from the date of delivery or installation (where installation is carried out by the Schoolscapes Installation Teams), Schoolscapes is notified of a fault in the Product which is due to faulty design, manufacturing or materials, Schoolscapes will replace or (at its discretion) repair the faulty part free of charge on an ex-works basis provided that:

1. The warranty coverage is not effective if products have not been
   properly stored;
   modified;  
   installed by a Schoolscapes Installation Team or in strict accordance with the instructions provided by Schoolscapes;
   maintained correctly according to the General Maintenance Instructions for Playground Equipment (download available in our Resources section).
2. If the Goods have been manufactured to the Customer's design, the fault is not due to faulty design by Schoolscapes and is not covered by warranty.
3. Warranty coverage of damaged parts or components:
   If the fault is not due to accidental or wilful damage; interference with or maintenance of the Goods by persons other than Schoolscapes or it’s duly appointed agents, Schoolscapes will replace the part.
4. No coverage for normal wear and tear, misuse or vandalism.
   The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, surface corrosion on metal parts, discoloured surfaces and other cosmetic issues or failures due to misuse or vandalism. The Customer will be required to return any faulty Goods to the Company for exchange or repair  at the Customers own cost, the Company will not be liable for any labour installation charges involved with the removal and subsequent re-installation of any such parts.
