To create an active play space for the children at Barlby Primary School. To include a space for ball games, multiple climbing opportunities and creative play areas.
The playground incorporates a MUGA with bright blue surfacing and line markings for basketball, football and netball. A huge Beacon Quad Tower with Slides, Monkey Bars, Bridges, Scramble Nets, Ladders and Rock Wall components forms a bold focal point alongside the 4m tall Climbing Net! There are also provisions for imaginative play with a Jungle Play Den.
A fun and exciting play space to be used in all weathers!
Awbridge Primary School
To create a space in which the children of Awbridge Primary School could explore imaginative, creative and sensory play.
The playground offers multiple imaginative play opportunities with a Playtime Shop, Playtime Kitchen, Log Play Hut, Teepee and Storytelling area to encourage children to play together while exploring role play and social interaction.
Sand and water play enables children to experience different materials in a sensory and creative way.
The design brief at Wadebridge Primary School was to create a physical play area for the school field that could be used at break time for free play and in PE lessons for more structured exercises.
The adventure trail allows a large number of children to play at once while testing and developing upper body strength, coordination, agility and balance. The mixture of low and high-level equipment allows the trail to cater for all age groups and abilities.
“It’s fantastic to see the children having so much fun on the new equipment. I hope it will be enjoyed by many in the years to come.”
Lizzy Whiting, Parents’ Group Chairman,
We had been requested to create a sensory and imaginative area around the trees at Virginia Primary School, that could be used in all weathers and utilises the existing space to its maximum.
The design incorporates platforms at different heights to create stages, seating areas and multi-level play, built around the trees.
There are musical instruments positioned around the decks to encourage exploration of sound and co-operation among friends.
The storytelling area provides a quiet space for small groups to read together or for outdoor teaching. And the Jungle Play Den is perfect for active and imaginative play with climbing opportunities and a den.
